Ingredients

- 1 cup spinach, fresh
- 1/2 cup kale, stems removed
- 1/2 green apple, cored and chopped
- 1/2 banana, frozen
- 1/4 avocado
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1/2 inch ginger, peeled
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or water)
- 1/4 cup ice cubes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Wash the spinach and kale thoroughly. Remove kale stems.
- Chop the green apple (core removed).
- Ensure the banana is frozen.
- Scoop out 1/4 of an avocado.
- Peel the ginger using a spoon.
- Blending the Smoothie:
- Add almond milk (or water) to the blender.
- Add spinach and kale.
- Add green apple, frozen banana, avocado, chia seeds, almond butter, ginger, lemon juice, and ice cubes (if using).
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high speed until smooth and creamy.
- Check consistency: Add more almond milk if too thick, or ice if too thin.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
- Serving the Smoothie:
- Pour into a glass.
- Garnish (optional) with spinach leaves, apple slice, or chia seeds.
- Enjoy immediately!
