Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups water
- 4 green tea bags
- 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1/2 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
- Peach slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and add the 4 green tea bags, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes. Be cautious not to over-steep to avoid bitterness.
- Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature, or refrigerate to speed up the process.
- Slice the ripe peaches into smaller pieces for easier blending.
- Place the sliced peaches in a blender. You can peel them for a smoother texture or leave the skin on for added nutrients.
- Blend until smooth. If needed, add a splash of water to assist with blending.
- Taste the puree and add honey or agave syrup if its too tart. Blend again to combine.
- In a large pitcher, combine the cooled green tea and fresh lemon juice, straining out any seeds or pulp if desired.
- Add the peach puree to the pitcher and stir well to combine.
- Incorporate the honey or agave syrup, starting with 1/2 cup and adjusting to taste. Stir until fully dissolved.
- Taste the mixture and add more water if its too strong for your liking.
- Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to chill and meld flavors.
- When ready to serve, fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the chilled lemonade over the ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of peach if desired.
- Enjoy your refreshing iced peach green tea lemonade!
Notes
- For a unique flavor twist, consider infusing the green tea with herbs like basil or rosemary.
- Experiment with different fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, or mangoes for varied flavors.
- For a sugar-free option, use stevia or monk fruit sweetener instead of honey or agave syrup.
