Description

This Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade offers a delightful blend of green tea, ripe peaches, and zesty lemon juice, making it a perfect refreshing drink for hot days. Enjoy the fruity flavors and a hint of sweetness, ideal for a summer pick-me-up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 green tea bags
  • 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Peach slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the 4 green tea bags, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  3. Let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes. Be cautious not to over-steep to avoid bitterness.
  4. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature, or refrigerate to speed up the process.
  5. Slice the ripe peaches into smaller pieces for easier blending.
  6. Place the sliced peaches in a blender. You can peel them for a smoother texture or leave the skin on for added nutrients.
  7. Blend until smooth. If needed, add a splash of water to assist with blending.
  8. Taste the puree and add honey or agave syrup if it’s too tart. Blend again to combine.
  9. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled green tea and fresh lemon juice, straining out any seeds or pulp if desired.
  10. Add the peach puree to the pitcher and stir well to combine.
  11. Incorporate the honey or agave syrup, starting with 1/2 cup and adjusting to taste. Stir until fully dissolved.
  12. Taste the mixture and add more water if it’s too strong for your liking.
  13. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to chill and meld flavors.
  14. When ready to serve, fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the chilled lemonade over the ice.
  15. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of peach if desired.
  16. Enjoy your refreshing iced peach green tea lemonade!

Notes

  • For a unique flavor twist, consider infusing the green tea with herbs like basil or rosemary.
  • Experiment with different fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, or mangoes for varied flavors.
  • For a sugar-free option, use stevia or monk fruit sweetener instead of honey or agave syrup.
