Notes
- Use fresh, ripe fruit, good-quality wine, and freshly squeezed juice whenever possible.
- If you prefer a sweeter sangria, you can add more peach preserves or a simple syrup. If you prefer a less sweet sangria, you can reduce the amount of peach preserves or use a drier rosé wine.
- Feel free to experiment with other fruits, such as blackberries, plums, or nectarines. Just make sure to use fruits that are in season and complement the peach flavor.
- A few sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme can add a unique and sophisticated flavor to the sangria.
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the rosé wine with sparkling white grape juice or non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Omit the peach schnapps and brandy, and add a splash of peach syrup for extra flavor.
- Sangria is best when it’s made ahead of time, so the flavors have time to meld. You can make it up to 24 hours in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Just add the sparkling water right before serving.
- Serve the sangria in beautiful glasses and garnish it with fresh fruit and herbs to make it look as good as it tastes.
- Opt for a dry rosé wine, as the fruit and peach preserves will add plenty of sweetness. Avoid sweet or semi-sweet rosés, as they can make the sangria cloyingly sweet.
- This Peach Blossom Sangria is incredibly versatile and pairs well with a variety of foods. Here are a few suggestions: Grilled Seafood, Salads, Cheese and Charcuterie, Desserts, Spicy Food.
- If you have any leftover sangria, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. However, keep in mind that the fruit will continue to infuse the sangria, so the flavor may change over time. The sparkling water will also lose its fizz, so it’s best to add fresh sparkling water right before serving. To prevent the fruit from becoming too soggy, you can strain the sangria and store the liquid separately from the fruit. Then, add the fruit back in right before serving.
- Remember to enjoy this Peach Blossom Sangria responsibly. Always drink in moderation and never drink and drive. Cheers!
