Homemade Salted Honey Coffee Creamer elevates your coffee with heavy cream, honey, coffee, and a touch of salt. A balanced, flavorful addition to your morning cup.

- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup whole milk
- ¼ cup honey (preferably local)
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules (or finely ground coffee)
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, but recommended)
Instructions
- Combine Cream and Milk: In a medium saucepan, pour in the heavy cream and whole milk.
- Add Honey and Coffee: Add the honey and instant coffee granules to the saucepan.
- Heat Gently: Place the saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir constantly with a whisk to ensure the honey and coffee dissolve evenly.
- Infuse the Flavors: Continue to heat the mixture, stirring constantly, until it’s steaming gently and the coffee granules have completely dissolved (5-7 minutes).
- Remove from Heat: Once the coffee is fully dissolved and the mixture is steaming, remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Add Salt and Vanilla: Stir in the sea salt and vanilla extract (if using).
- Cool Slightly: Allow the mixture to cool slightly for about 10-15 minutes.
- Strain (If Using Ground Coffee): If you used finely ground coffee, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth (or a coffee filter) into a clean bowl or container.
- Transfer to Storage Container: Pour the cooled (and strained, if necessary) creamer into an airtight container.
- Chill Thoroughly: Refrigerate the creamer for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Shake Well Before Serving: Before using, give the creamer a good shake.
- Serve and Enjoy: Add a splash of the salted honey coffee creamer to your favorite coffee.
Notes
- For a lighter creamer, adjust the ratio of milk to cream, using more milk and less cream.
- Local honey is recommended for the best flavor.
- Instant coffee works best, but finely ground coffee can be used (strain after infusing).
- Adjust the amount of honey and salt to your liking.
- Experiment with different types of coffee, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom), or honey variations.
- For a vegan version, substitute heavy cream and whole milk with plant-based alternatives.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
