- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
- Dark chocolate shavings or cocoa nibs, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by brewing a strong cup of coffee. Let it cool to room temperature and mix in the coffee liqueur if desired.
- Once the coffee is cooled, set it aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, pour in the heavy cream and whip on medium speed until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, combine the softened mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture in three parts.
- Take each ladyfinger and dip it quickly into the cooled coffee mixture, then place them in the bottom of your serving cups.
- Spoon a generous layer of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers, spreading it evenly.
- Repeat the process by adding another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by another layer of the cream.
- After adding the final layer of mascarpone cream, smooth the top with a spatula.
- Cover the assembled tiramisu cups with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Prepare any garnishes while the cups chill.
- When ready to serve, dust the tops with cocoa powder and add any garnishes.
- Serve immediately.

- For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the coffee liqueur.
