Enjoy a heavenly treat that combines the bold flavors of coffee and the creaminess of mascarpone, all beautifully presented in clear cups.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Dark chocolate shavings or cocoa nibs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by brewing a strong cup of coffee. Let it cool to room temperature and mix in the coffee liqueur if desired.
  2. Once the coffee is cooled, set it aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, pour in the heavy cream and whip on medium speed until soft peaks form.
  4. In another bowl, combine the softened mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gently fold in the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture in three parts.
  6. Take each ladyfinger and dip it quickly into the cooled coffee mixture, then place them in the bottom of your serving cups.
  7. Spoon a generous layer of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers, spreading it evenly.
  8. Repeat the process by adding another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by another layer of the cream.
  9. After adding the final layer of mascarpone cream, smooth the top with a spatula.
  10. Cover the assembled tiramisu cups with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  11. Prepare any garnishes while the cups chill.
  12. When ready to serve, dust the tops with cocoa powder and add any garnishes.
  13. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the coffee liqueur.
  • Feel free to customize the garnishes based on your preference.
