- 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat on medium speed with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat on low speed until well combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined. Avoid overmixing; the dough should be soft and slightly sticky.
- Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and chopped macadamia nuts using a spatula until evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes (optional).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Gently press down on each ball with the back of a fork or your fingers to flatten slightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
